Thank you for your interest in reserving our TerrainHopper mobility vehicle. If you have never used the TerrainHopper before, you must complete the TerrainHopper User Information Form before your first TerrainHopper reservation can be confirmed.

By registering to use the TerrainHopper, the rider confirms that they have read the TerrainHopper Liability Release Form and that they voluntarily assume all risks, waive any and all claims, and release Distant Hill Nature Trail and its agents from any and all liability for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

The mission of Distant Hill is to make nature and the outdoors accessible to everyone. With our TerrainHopper we will empower children and adults, regardless of their ability, to develop a close connection with the natural world.

• It can accommodate most body types, up to 350 pounds.
• Drives with a handlebar, joystick, or by an adult with a joystick walking alongside.
• An adult caregiver, family member, or friend must accompany the visitor using the TerrainHopper and take responsibility for assisting transfer on and off the device.
• Distant Hill staff will be available for all TerrainHopper outings, if needed.
• Use will be limited to the trails and paths designated for the TerrainHopper.
• Other conditions and limits may apply for safety and equitable access to the device.

We invite community members to play a meaningful role in making our Trail Accessibility Program a success. Volunteers will help visitors get comfortably situated in the TerrainHopper and, when needed, walk alongside them on the trails, offering assistance, companionship, and encouragement. No experience is necessary—we’ll provide all the training you need.
