“My journey usually ends when the pavement ends. But at Distant Hill Nature Trail, where the pavement ends is where my journey begins...where the adventure starts!”
- David Hudgik
The 4-minute video above stars David Hudgik, a frequent wheelchair user of Distant Hill Nature Trail. He tells how Distant Hill's accessible trails changed his life.
Click on the image above to watch an amazing video created by Farrell Video Productions of Keene, NH. Bill Farrell spent a year capturing every detail of the Pavilion Project at Distant Hill, including pouring the foundation slab, expanding the parking area, Bensonwood Homes cutting the pavilion frame, raising the timber frame with an all-volunteer crew, and installing the pavilion's roof boards and metal roofing.
There are 23 species of wildlife in this 9 min: 48 sec video compilation. All clips were captured on two trail cameras set up on the purple Lost Acre Trail 🟣 at Distant Hill Nature Trail from May 2022 to November 2024.
Thank you to artist, Jack Johnson, for allowing us to use his beautiful song 'Belle' from his 2005 album, 'In Between Dreams'.
